Playing at all school functions and playing by invitation in other towns, calls attention to this year's Cedarville school orchestra under the capable direction of Mr. Robert Reed who organized it in 1933.

The three years' growth, which has resulted in the present forty-piece organization, has been largely due to the foundation of a special school fund for the purchase of new music and instruments.

Including the upper six grades, the orchestra has the special aim of development of individual talent through group cooperation. Forty minutes twice a week, this group meets for practice of their wide variety of music ranging from the serious to the light.

Mr. Reed has organized a dance orchestra which is planning to play at Bryan High School for the "Senior Prom" in exchange for the music their school furnished for our high school dance. To be qualified for the dance orchestra each person must be a member in good standing of either the orchestra or the band.

Increased interest in the orchestras is evidence that these groups have been permanently established in the school
