SEEN IN AND AROUND
(MOTHER GOOSE'S) SCHOOL
1935/36

page 62 top

Our dear old school holds many memories, and after we have left these halls we will cherish these memories.

But wait! What is this? It can't be! But seeing is believing. Yes, Leroy Dailey will be another Ned Brown we are sure.

When our seniors were seventh graders this snap was taken. It looks like Harold (Clark Gable) Strobridge was suffering from the stiff neck. Time Marches On!!!

"In the spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of" -- baseball and track. A scene of some of the minds that have turned.

Do you wonder what becomes of the gum you stick on the chairs, or what becomes of the paper you "accidentally" drop on the floor? Here is the answer: "Becky" and "Bud" Spencer are always on the job to see that we keep as much off the floor as possible. (Some of us have a pretty hard time considering the size of our feet.)

Now for a bit of dialogue:

Vince R. to Elton F.: "Hey, Elton, what is you ambition in life?"

Elton F.: "To be a manager of men." At last his ambition was reached as he and Vince were managers (?????) of the boys' basketball team.

"Four little maids from school." Oh dear, a miscount. There are five, aren't there? Juniors -- Virginia Swaney, Rita Struewing, Doris Truesdale, Alice Pullin, and Gwendolyn Bailey are out for some air.

Now, this couldn't have been during school hours, could it? Tsk! Tsk! Johnny Fudge and Alberta Smith are fully unaware of the fact that it is cold and they are sitting on snow.

When people are hungry, naturally they are -- well, hungry. Here is what some of these "starved" people look like, going home for lunch.
